Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager

EYG Commercial specialise in commercial glazing systems and are one of the UK's leading suppliers and installers of aluminum and UPVC window and door systems and curtain walling systems for the construction industry.

We work with construction partners on developments in a number of sectors, on projects including retail, private development, modular buildings, student accommodation, MoD accommodation, and healthcare and educational establishments.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the commercial team responsible for the financial management of multiple projects ranging from £30,000 to £6 million across all sectors.

You will be joining a well-established and supportive team of professionals with an opportunity to advance within the business. Integrity and diligence as well as extensive experience are a pre-requisite. You will be responsible for a QS and a team of estimating/sales staff and report directly to Director level.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collate the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.
  • Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
  • Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.
  • Measure and value the work done on site.
  • Pay subcontractors.
  • Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.
  • Select and/or source construction materials.
  • Write financial reports on projects both individually and collectively.


  • Educated to OND / HNC Level.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
  • Full Driving License.
  • Experience in the construction or glazing industry preferable.

Position Overview

  • Team Managers required for our Hull and Spalding based call centres. These are high volume outbound call centres that are being expanded and restructured, to add to our already successful operation.

Duties Include

  • Recruiting, training and motivating team members. Managing data and observing GDPR compliance. Monitoring KPI's to continue to ensure the best possible ROI is delivered. Booking and confirming appointments.
  • This position pays a full basic wage and all the usual holiday and pension entitlements, however as it is target driven there are many performance related bonuses available that mean this offers uncapped earnings.
  • There are no formal educational requirements for this position but you will need experience in outbound telemarketing, preferably in the home improvements industry. You will also need excellent communication and managerial skills. You will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of working in a target based and highly driven environment.
  • No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
